Stage 4

Not sure check outThe Second Floor

Once the ground floor is complete you will need to add a 13/4" x 1/4"  length of wood all around the perimeter of the house as in Fig.1, glue and panel pin insuring that each post is upright.  Next you will need to glue a piece of 3/4" sq length of wood again all around the perimeter on to the top of the 13/4" x 1/4" just fitted.  Once complete add beams to suit.

Floorboards

Cut a piece of 1/4" thick plywood to fit inside the area of the second floor, once done measure out distances of 10ml apart all across the end of the ply on both ends.  Mark along the front and the back every 4" Draw a pencil line down the length of the ply every 10ml  as in Fig. 2, then mark from the front every 8", then in the second mark a line between that line so that each line is staggered.  NOt sure, Check out FLOOR BOARDS

Scribe

Once you are happy with your pencil marks on the ply and they now look like floorboards you can look at scribing the lines deeper with a scribe such as the one shown in Fig. 3.  Once complete then you will need to go around the end of each and every floorboard and tap two nail holes.

Uprights to next floor

Start doing the same as you did in building the ground floor by adding 8" posts at stages ensuring they are upright and square as in Fig. 4.  Next add the 13/4" x 1/4"  length of wood all around the perimeter of the house as in Fig. 5.  Then add to that 3/4" sq length of wood again all around the perimeter on to the top of the 13/4" x 1/4" just fitted.
