Here we go on the next adventure
Ye Old Bakery
So, we started with a piece of MDF 15" x 271/2" and mine was 18mm thick and as always its down to your choice. These dimensions are personal preference, you don't have to build a rock face garden, that would make the size of the timber that much smaller and easier to work with, if you just want to build the house that's fine.
Then, I drew a rectangle on the MDF approx. 2" from the left edge, 15" in length and a depth of 12" from the back edge and
pinned a piece of flat timber 1/4" x 3/4" to it making sure it was all square. See Fig.1
Next, cut 10 pieces of timber 8" long, 3/4" square if its available, or if your fortunate. . . rip your own. . . at least you know its square.
Now this is the quite difficult bit, stand the cut timber on end as shown in fig.1. Then follow on around all corners of the template and infill making sure you choose your dimensions according to where you want your windows to be. Then cut a length of 3/4"sq timber to bridge the beams on the front two uprights, as shown in fig.2..
Once these are all dried off and stable cut length's of 1/4" x 13/4" and glue and pin it to the inside edge of the perimeter as shown in fig. 3 and 4. creating an overhang all the way around the building.
Well, that's stage one over and your up to the first story.
